How To

Taking good care of your ponytails is important to ensure their longevity and keep them looking their best.

How to Care for your Ponytails

  • Before and after each use, spritz with water or a detangling spray.
  • Hold the top section tightly and use a detangling hair brush or a fine bristle brush and gently brush through the hair extensions. Start from the bottom brushing downwards and working your way up to the top. Brushing from the bottom to the top will prevent breakage.
  • To keep these extensions looking their best, store them away from direct sunlight, either flat or hung to prevent any damage or tangling.
  • You can gently trim hair ends when required to keep your hair extensions looking fresh and even.
  • If you attempt to brush wavy or curly ponytails when they are dry it will result in excessive fluffiness. If this happens, wet the ponytail, pat it dry and leave it to air dry. It will then return to its original texture.
  • We recommend braiding the straight ponytails to avoid them getting tangled.

How To Apply Straight Ponytails

  • Start by tying your regular hair in a high or low ponytail, pigtails or a bun.
  • Place the extension over the face and tie the hair elastic on the extension over top of the existing hair elastic.
  • Leave it like this or conceal the hair elastic by wrapping one strand from the extension around the top and secure it with a bobby pin or two.
  • Style as you wish.

How to Remove Straight Ponytails

  • Start by untying the hair elastic at the base and gently undo the braid strand by strand.
  • If you have a strand of hair wrapped around the top, remove the bobby pin/s and gently unravel.
  • Flip the extension over the face and undo the hair elastic on the extension by carefully lifting one loop at a time. Gently slide the extension off the regular ponytail.
  • Follow our hair care instructions for brushing before storing your ponytail away.

Tip - Patience is key to maintaining the longevity of these ponytails.

  • Attach the hair pin by inserting it into the regular hair on top of the ponytail or bun.
  • Wrap the ribbons around the ponytail or bun and tie in a bow underneath.
  • Alternatively, you can wrap the ribbons around the ponytail or bun and bring them back around to the top if you want a visible bow.
